To make bigger use more colors or do more than 2 rounds per color combo.
To make the opposite color blocks just swap color A and C. This makes a nice effect and also helps to use the yarn evenly more.

That is gorgeous!! I Love the colors.
Heather, I copied this - want to use my Caron SS for the blended look and didn't want to make a RR.
Thanks for posting it!
Your pattern is just for the granny squares, right? I don't see any instructions about joining the squares together. I love the look of this and want to try it!
I just a beginner but I love this pattern but I want to make just one about 60x75. How?
Well, I guess I'm behind the times since this is over 2 years old. But I love the colors. Can someone tell me what the finished size will be? If not post, send to tallycat@comcast.net Thanks.

First-I love this pattern! I'm getting ready to start this in Autumn Red, Victorian Rose, and Off White, for my Mom for her birthday. She picked the colors, I get to do the work!
I have a question on the yarn. Did your skeins weigh 6 ounces or 11 ounces in the Caron Simply Soft? I bought mine at JoAnn's, and all they had were the 6 ounce skeins. I bought 2 of each color. I know I need 1 more for my color 'B', which will be the rose color.
I love this. I am making the squares, but what color should I use to connect them? And do I sew with yarn or crochet together?
Thanks. You can email me at tallybandit@comcast.net I appreciate it.

This is stunning! And in my favorite colors. Most of my projects are donated for charitable causes, so don't usually work with 2 strands. This will be the exception, as I will make it for myself.
I make blankies for the "Linus Project". What is the size on this so I have something to go by. I will use one strand and a smaller hook. TY!
Wow sorry I've been away and haven't gotten to these comments.
As to the size. I don't remember the measurements but it was a little bigger than a lapghan but smaller than an afghan.
On the connecting the squares. I just sewed it together. You can use any of the colors you used in the squares to sew it.
On the skein size, I think my skeins were the 8 oz.
